ready to head up north for the last time this season to close up the
cabin. We feel jipped, as our fall
season was cut really short by 'Mr. Winter' and the 'FLU'. The colors are always magnificent in no=
rthern
minnesota,
but were not as brilliant this fall. I
am looking forward to CHRISTMAS (not the snow)!

November has arrived.=
First I’d like to let everyone know tha=

not cleaning the 1945 building any more and Kevin and I will only do on cal=

works out much better for me. We a=

going to continue to do the gardening, decorating, potlucks, coffees and
parties. These are very time consu=
ming
and I will have more time to devote to what we enjoy doing.
The October brunch an=

birthday/anniversary potluck both went very well. Good food as usual and the friendly
atmosphere is always a plus. We wo=

like to have more of you join us. =
It’s a
nice way to get to know your neighbors and get out a little bit. We have had good turnouts for the Vikin=
gs
game parties. Come on down to the =
Club
Room on game day and help cheer our team on.
(yes, even Brett Farve). We=
had a
nice turnout for the casino trip in October.
14 people went and all seemed to enjoy themselves. Our trip for November will be to Treasure Island. =

hope you get a chance to go with us.

a great time at the Halloween party!
I had a really great time at Disney World with my boys=
. They asked grandma to dress up for the
Halloween party, so I dressed as a pirate right along with them. We had a really great time, even though=
it
rained off and on that day.
Unit inspections went very well, and the inspections w=
ith
the city inspector for our license went without a single violation. Thanks I am sure due to the fact that we
inspected all units the day before the City Inspector came. We will do that again next year. Thank you all for your patience. Of Course, we have to come in and check=
smoke
detectors again the end of January, but that will be a quick one. Thanks again for your patience and for
reporting leaks, etc. in a timely manner so no problem becomes too big.

Perfect Pumpk=
in Pie

2 - 15oz cans pumpkin
2 - 14oz cans sweetened condensed milk
4 - eggs
2 - tsp cinnamon
1 - tsp ginger
1 - tsp nutmeg
1 - tsp salt
With wire whisk, beat pumpkin, milk, eggs, spices and
salt. Pour into 9 x 13 pan sprayed=
with
Pam. Bake at 425 degrees for 15
minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 d=
egrees
and continue baking for 30 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.=
After pie has baked 30 minutes, take ou=
t and
top with crumble topping:
1 - cup packed light brown sugar
1 - cup flour
1/2 - cup butter
Blend with pastry cutter until crumbly. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Sprinkle over pumpkin and bake for 10 m=
inutes
longer.
