Will
it Ever End!
We wish to Dan for all his hard work during the re sur= facing of the pool bottom, installation of the new ceiling tiles in the pool room,= and the new roof on the pool room and club room. Thanks also to Dan and Kathy for cleaning up after the very messy job. We also would like to thank e= veryone for your patience during the construction period. The new roof and the re surfacing of th= e pool bottom were both long overdue but very messy. Thanks to Mark Seeger for doing the landscaping in the front by the entrance to each building and for taking care of the runoff in the back of = the 55 building. And kudos to the few residents that had to move plants and etc for him to do that work. We are still trying to do something wit= h the decks. Hopefully, that will be the= last project for awhile. Again, thanks for your patience. If it’s any consolation, we hate these projects more than you do! (We nee= d to try and find the money!)
From Terese's Desk
My husband and I will=
be
closing up the cabin sometime this month.
We will miss the fresh fish dinners and the 'GREAT OUTDOORS'. My daughter was up over the last weeken=
d in
September with her camera. I hope =
to
preview some beautiful sunsets, landscape and wildlife shortly.
Thanks for everyone's
patience during the pool remodel project, roof replacement and inside ceili=
ng
repair. The pool is up and running=
, the
club room is 'spic-n-span' and the new sky light has been installed in the =
puzzle
area. ENJOY!!
That's it for this month. Take care. Terese
Notes from our “Social Director=
s”
We had a surprise at coffee Sat. morning. A resident who has lived here for 17 ye= ars came to Coffee & Donuts for the first time. (It has been going on for 11 years) He enjoyed himself, and will be back. This just shows you that, whether you’ve lived here a long time or j= ust moved to the community, you are always welcome to join us for any of our gatherings. For all our social functions, please watch bulletin boards for dates, times, and sign-up sheets. That’s it for this month.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Take care!

A MESSAGE FROM MARY
I would again like to thank everyone for your patience during all the work
going on around here. There is just no way to get it done without inconvenience. So a big “thank you” for that!
The heat has been turned on, so please turn your heat = off before you open a window if you are too hot. Be sure your storm windows are closed up. If you have trouble closing them, pleas= e call the office so we can send someone up to close them.
On another note, Please be reminded that Dan has retir= ed from our Maintenance Dept. If you = have an after hour emergency, please call the office number, not the personal nu= mber of the person on call. If you cann= ot get hold of the on-call person, please call me at 651-451-9770.
I am still enjoying my grandchildren and now that Sean= is in Kindergarten, I have more one-on-one time with Nick and the two of us are really enjoying the special time. = Nick enjoys going for rides in the car without Sean. I think it makes him feel like a really big boy. He is even riding the jeep and tractor = by himself now.
Don’t forget the Christmas party on the 8th of
December. Hope to see most of you
there! ‘Till next month have a gre=

and God Bless, Mary
Fun Trip to
Jackpot Junction
Heading out <=

Only a few CCM residents (and the photographer) were s= erious enough gamblers to make the overnighter to Jackpot Junction in Western Minnesota on September 19. The hotel/casino is about 2 ½ hours WSW of West = St. Paul.
A Kodak Moment
On September 19, Craig Dahlstrom (#128) was walking ou=

of the 55 building and noticed a raptor sitting on the fence separating us =
from
Westview Condominiums. He ran back=
to
his apartment to get his camera and alert Judy.
