From Terese's Desk
I also received some =
very
exciting and happy news! My son &a=
mp;
his new bride are expecting their first child.
MY FIRST GRANDCHILD!!!!! It=
is
still very early on in the pregnancy and I'm trying to maintain some compos=
ure
and not be too over-bearing with my new daughter. Ask me next month how that's going. I am an extremely relentless and persis=
tent
individual! I did find a crib alre=
ady
for 'grandma's' house and have a 'beat' on a rocking bassinet. I've asked my husband to take apart our
'guest/computer room' to make way for the new nursery. There's so much to do, buy and plan!!!<=
span
style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Kind of sounds like I'm having the
baby...doesn't it!?!?!?!? All I ca=
n say
in self defense is...I LOVE CHILDREN!
And, it's been awhile since there's been a baby at our house.
SO....the upcoming sp=
ring is
as follows; My future son-in-law w=
ill be
graduating with his degree as a pharmaceutical technician in mid March. Elizabeth will be giving birth somewhere
around March 13th. My daughter Mic=
helle
will be graduating from the U of MN mid May and is getting married May 28th.
Let's not forget about baby showers, wedding showers, graduation ceremonies,
etc, etc, etc. I was just wonderin=
g if
anyone else had something they wanted to schedule with me!!! If so, please contact my personal assi=
stant
at www.looneybin.com!
That's it for this month. Take care. Terese

We are sta= rting our monthly brunch on Sat. the 19th at 11:30am in the Club Room. No coffee and donuts on the days we do brunch. Please watch signs for det= ails.
One last thing. If you are new to the CCM Community or are a seasoned resident, please join us for the functions we have. If you don't find it's somet= hing you enjoy that's ok, but just give it a try at least once and you might be pleasantly surprised.
That's all for now

A MESSAGE FROM MARY
I guess I blinked and we lost our summer . . . or what= we had of it. I guess I just have to be thankful that fall is such a gre= at season. Warm during the day and cool at night for sleeping.
As you should have seen by now, we will be closing the= pool early Wednesday morning. We are st= arting the roofing project over the pool and Club Room. In addition, we are going to be giving = the pool area a “top-to-bottom” face lift, literally! We need to re-plaster the bottom of the= pool and replace the ceiling tile. If everything goes as planned, we should be back in the pool by September 17.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> I want to thank you all for all the cooperation in bearing with us on all the projects we have done so far. I don’t know if it helps but we don’t like them any better than you do, proba= bly less!
Until next month, =
span>God
Bless <=

Announcements:=
REMINDER: When reserving the Club Room, please remember to take all your left-overs with you. The refrigerator has many miscellaneous items left in it. Th= is has created an 'unpleasant' odor for other events and gatherings to endure.
RECYCLING CONTAINERS: Please make sure to dispose of your recycling in the appropriately marked containers. DO NOT USE THE RECYCLING CONTAINERS TO DISPOSE OF GARBAGE/TRASH!
GARBAGE/TRASH RECEPTACLE: Trash hauling for large or hazardous items is not included in your r= ent. Please do not use the trash receptacle to dispose of any such household ite= ms (like furniture or electronics, before contacting Terese in the office to make arrangements for payment because there is an extra charge assessed by the hauler. Large cardboard boxes must= be broken down and, preferably, stored alongside the dumpster else they can ca= use the dumptster to overflow other trash on the floor.
Speedy Justice
In the past four years, there have been three cases of persons breaking and entering the common areas of the building. In 2005, th= ey stole a Corvette out of the UG parking. In 2006, they stole our nice plasma TV. And now this one. In all three cases, the perpetrators are behind bars! Plus, because we have= such nice, easily accessible “toys” in the Club Room, no burglar has even given a thought to entering an apartment. = Could that be another advantage of apartment living as opposed to homeownership?<= /p>
THE FUNNY BONE
A real estate agent had just closed his first deal onl= y to discover that the piece of land he had sold was completely underwater. “That customer's going to come back here pretty mad," he said to his boss. “Should I give him his money back?"
“Money back?" roared the boss. “What kind of sale= sman are you? Get out there and sell him a houseboat!"
