Notes from our “Social Director=

The potluck went great with 30 people and lots of good food. We'd like to thank all of yo= u who joined us and would really like to see new and current residents join us for good food and a good time. The one= for June will be on the 29th at 5:30pm in the Club Room.
I’m sorry to say we will need to postpone the garage sale. Long story. We hope to take another crack at it in September so stay tuned.
The June casino trip will be June 10th to Treasure Island. Watch the bulletin board f= or times and sign-up sheets.
That's all for now

A MESSAGE FROM MARY
And happy “summer” to everyone. Thanks go to Kathy & Dan for gettin= g the lovely flowers in place for the summer! <= /span>I look forward to seeing everyone at the Annual July Picnic. This year we will have the BBQ on Thurs= day, July 2nd. We will again serve hot = dogs, bratts and hamburgers, cheese burgers, and beverages including the “adult” variety. As with most Country Club= Manor functions, there will be no charge. We will start serving at 6 and serve until about 7. So be sure to mark your calendar and plan on attending. Th= is is another good way to meet your neighbors. We do ask that you bring a side dish to share. See you there!
As you know we have completed the 55 garage project an= d will be starting the 45 next week. I th= ank all of you for your co-operation. =
I know it was very hard, but at least be thankful we d= id not do it in the winter. I know most o= f you appreciated the brighter, lighter garage, judging from all the thank you ca= rds and notes that we have received. = Let’s hope we can keep it clean and bright.
Have a Great June and I look forward to seeing you all= at the summer BBQ. God Bless! Mary

* GOLF EVENT AT SOUTH=

COUNTRY CLUB
Each year, we have or=
ganized
an outing for Country Club Manor residents and/or guests of our residents.<=
span
style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> The exact day we choose often does not =
fit
with the schedules of persons who would otherwise like to play a “real” cou=
ntry
club of Southview’s caliber. So we=
have
arranged for any resident, their relatives, or friends to play Southview on=
ANY
(or All!) of the following dates: June 29, July 13, Aug 17, Aug 24, Aug 31,
Sept 14, and/or Sept 28. The cost =
will
be $73 each for green fees and half a cart.
Just let Terese know how many and she will set it up.
* Free Key (Unless you lose it): Terese n=
ow has
more keys to the pool door and our “private park” gate.
More Improvements: Painting,
Paving, and Push Buttons!
Mark brightens up the 55 UG parking area. Bill re-stencils #’s.
Our brighter parking and sleeker, more reliable new “b= uzz board.”
Installing new drains and re-surfacing garage floors m= ade it smoother, brighter, and much easier to clean. But was it worth all the dirt and inconvenience? One consolation: If you survived it all= , look for thank you notes from Terese attached to pre-paid car wash tickets, as a small token of our appreciation for your nearly limitless patience in beari= ng with us on this project!
Clubs & Cards
Poker: Mondays at 12:30-4 PM Bridge: Tuesdays at 7-9 PM.
Another Tough Tuesday!
Stop by the pool area and partake in Country Club
Manor’s “Happy Hour,” Tuesday’s at 4 PM.
THE FUNNY BONE
One Sunday in a midwest city, a young child was "= acting up" during the morning worship hour. The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew but were losing the battle.
Finally, the father picked the little fellow up and wa= lked sternly up the aisle on his way out. Just before reaching the safety of the foyer, the little one called loudly to the congregation, "Pray for me! Pray for me!"
A little boy was overheard praying: "Lord, if you= can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it; I'm having a real good time jus= t the way I am."
A Sunday school teacher asked her little children, as = they were on their way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be qu= iet in church?" One bright little= girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."
