Saturday March 14!
Kay Owen #227 (nee: O'Connor), 100 percent Irish!!
What a great brunch. Everyone=
said
they had a good time.!
Say “Hello” to your New Neigbors:
Hi! My name is Paulette Lind, my mother is = Marie Delhunt. We are just settling into= #305 and love this place and the people we've met already! My mom was a seamstress for many years.= She raised my sister and I on her own.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> I work at United Hospital as a PCA. I've been there 39 years. I also have a second job at Ovenhearth Bakery. I have 5 grown children an= d 3 grandchildren with another one on the way. I hope we get a chance to meet all of you! Terese is especially kind and helpful!<= o:p>
My name is Pat Kohout=
and I
moved into apartment #201. I retir=
ed
from St. Kate's College about two years ago.
I have one daughter (Anne Marie), one granddaughter (Biltay) and the
love of my life, my great-grandson (Lavontae) who is 15 months old. I know I will be happy here. I love it already and look forward to m=
eeting
the residents.
THE FUNNY BONE
WHERE is my SUNDAY paper?' The irate customer calling = the newspaper office loudly demanded, wanting to know where her Sunday edition = was.
'Ma'am,' said the newspaper employee, 'today is Saturd= ay. The Sunday paper is not delivered until tomorrow, on Sunday.'
There was quite a long pause on the other end of the p= hone, followed by a ray of recognition, as she was heard to mutter, 'Well, sh#$..= . so that's why no one was at church today!!!
Notes from our “Social Directors”
Wow! The St. Patrick's Day Brunch was awesome. = We had a lot of people, (Irish and not), delicious food, lots to drink, Irish musi= c, door prizes, and plenty of conversation. Thanks to those of you who joined in the fun.
We would like to request that people do not move or re= move decorations that are put out in the building. This is done for all our friends and neighbors and if they are taken they cannot be enjoyed. Thank you!= !
I (Kathy) would like to thank all of you who sent card= s and good wishes to me on my birthday. = Also to those who remembered a word or two on the year anniversary of my Mom's death. Anyone who is considering m= oving in at CCM should know of the kind caring people we have living here.
That's it = for this month. Have a Happy Easter.
Love, Kev=

A MESSAGE FROM MARY
I heard that the St.
Patrick's day brunch went very well and everybody enjoyed the great food and
company of all the Irish. I look f=
orward
to seeing all the pictures. Sorry =
we
could not make it, but Lee needed a warm weather break and we took a glorio=
us
trip to Acapulco for a week.
On Wednesday, April 2=
2 at 1
PM we will again have a presentation by Cerenity Senior Services, on a
heart-healthy diet, titled "Understanding the Cholesterol
Rollercoaster." For those who=
have
attended presentations in the past, you know the food will be very tasty, s=
o be
sure to attend and learn how to make quick, easy and great tasting food.
I would really like t=
o thank
everyone for all the co-operation during all the repairs in the garages.
I will be spending mo=
re time
at the building while Terese is gone (until April 6) so I hope to see many =
of
you while I am there. It will be a busy week, but be sure to say “Hi,” if y=
ou
see me.
Till next month, Have=
a
Blessed Easter and God Bless,
Mary
Understanding the Cholesterol Rollercoaster
The team from Cerenity Senior Services is back again in April by popular demand. Confused about good and bad cholesterol? Looking f= or sure-fire, easy ways to make your diet work for your heart? Come sample breakfast, lunch, and dinner suggestions—the learning, fun and recipes all included—on Wednesday, April 22, at 1 p.m. right here in the Club Room. Ann, Amanda, and Dan, all from Cerenity, return to smooth out the highs and lows= of heart-healthy diet. You’ve loved t= heir food, information, and good humor in the past… See you there!
Puzzle Art
You say you still can’t believe it’s a puzzle? OK then, look at THIS phot= o!
NOW do you believe it?
But what is even the finest painting without a frame?<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Can you imagine trying to get all those pieces to stay together while they’re being framed? So “hat’s off” to Dave Holman #308 for = the nice job on the framing!
UG Parking Drain Tile Project . . . Almost Done!
Once again, our apologies to all and thanks for puttin=
g up
with the dust, noise, and inconvenience of “musical cars.” The only phase
remaining is for Mark and Tom to install multiple drains down the center ai=
sle
of the garages. Once done, we shou=
ld be able
to hose down the garages when we need to, especially in the spring, to get =
rid
of all the road dirt, salt and sand. But
this work should not cause too much inconvenience because vehicles will be =
able
to park normally. If you need to d=
rive
over a drain before it’s complete, they will be able to cover it temporaril=
y to
let you pass and in any case, your wheel base will be wider than the grates=
..
Do you have something you would like to share with the rest of our
little community? Give anythin=
g you
like to Terese or email directly to Lee at LeeSail@aol.com. Examples might be prayers, poems, jokes,
cartoons, recipes, a personal story, someone you think should be honored, a
political viewpoint, etc.
Choosing your own neighbors is easy! Just give Terese the name and number of someone you think might be looking for a nice apartment. That’s all there is to it. Or you can give the office number (451-= 2633) to your friend (and ask your friend to mention your name early in the conversation). When your friend jo= ins our little community, you will receive two $100 certificates of appreciatio= n to use towards your rent.
