You Can Choose Your Own Neighbors!
Many people have befo=
re you!
Springtime is always our busiest time of the year for getting new residents
settled into their new homes so now is the time! If you know someone who is selling thei=
r home
(or God forbid, losing it), or simply looking for a quieter, safer, nicer p=
lace
to live, you can do you, them, and us a favor by referring them to Country =
Club
Manor. Look at the
From Terese's Desk
I've also come to the conclusion, the perfect mother o=
f the
groom dress does not exist, so I better buy something soon or the wedding
photographer will be doing some major touching up on the wedding proofs.
I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding these last several weeks in regards to the work being done in= the 45 garage. The end result will ben= efit all parking in the garage come spring. And, you can all put away your fishing poles! “Lake Country Club Manor” will be all d= ried up.
We will continue to work hard in the next couple month= s at replacing those pipes needing TLC we discovered during our January unit inspections; installing carbon monoxide detectors in every unit; and garage clean-up as required by the City. = We are striving to make your community a safe, clean and comfortable place to call home!
Until next month.....

A MESSAGE FROM MARY
I survived my most re=
cent
trip to Disney for our oldest Grandson’s birthday this past week. Sean was so cute, wearing his birthday =
crown they
made him at preschool for three of the four days we were there. He would ju=
st
beam when strangers wished him a Happy Birthday. Oh to be young again and celebrate birt=
hdays
for three long days. I try to forg=
et
them, like I am sure most of you do also.
The Forest Lake Gymna=
stics
team went to State this year. They=
only
finished sixth out of 8 teams, but I just think it was great being able to =
go
to State for them. I was at the U =
of M
on that snowy Thursday night watching the competition and it was very excit=
ing
watching all the girls competing. =
Of
course, Roseville took First Place again this year, but none the less it was
exciting for the girls and their coaches.
It is really hard to understand how they can concentrate on their
routine when four events are going on at one time, while cheering and yelli=
ng
for each girl competing is taking place, and not just themselves. They really have to stay focused.
We are still working =
on the
preventive maintenance from unit inspections, but the work is coming along =
very
well. If we have not done your repairs as of yet, we will give you a call t=
he
day before we would like to enter your apartment. Thanks for your cooperation and your
patience.
The work in the garag=
e in the
45 building is almost complete and we thank you very much for your co opera=
tion
in moving cars out of the garage for so many days, even in the bad
weather. We have to finish the sup=
port
pillars and the large drains, but that will not involve moving cars out eve=
ry
day. We will start the 55 building=
when
the 45 building is complete. We wi=
ll
notify you when it is time to move your car.
Thanks again for making Country Club Manor your home and for all your
patience.
Have a great month an=
d God
Bless you all! Mary

My wife was hinting a=
bout
what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary.
She said. "I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 150 in ab=
out
3 seconds." I bought her a
scale....and then the fight started.
My wife asked me if a=
certain
dress made her 'behind' look big. =
I told
her not as much as the dress she wore yesterday!.....and then the fight
started.
I asked my wife, &quo=
t;Where
do you want to go for our anniversary?"
It warmed my heart to see her face melt in sweet appreciation. "Somewhere I haven't been in a long
time!" she said. So I suggest=
ed ,
"How about the kitchen?".....and then the fight started.

Recipe from Serenity Senior Care
This was a huge hit at the Seminar held in January and thought other residents would love a low-cal, sugar free dessert.
1 - Package of sugar free Oreo Cookies
3 - Tablespoons of melted butter
1/2 Gallon sugar free or reduced sugar ice cream
1 - Cup of sugar free chocolate syrup
1 - Cup of caramel syrup
8 - Ounces of roasted pecans
1 - Tub of sugar free or light Cool Whip
Crush Oreo Cookies into crumbs. Set aside 1/2 cup crumbs for topping. Combine the remaining crumbs with melted
butter and pat into the bottom of a 9 x 13 cake pan. Place pan in freezer for one hour or un=
til
firm. Layer ice cream over crumb c=
rust,
drizzle both chocolate and caramel syrup over ice cream, sprinkle roasted
pecans over and top with Cool Whip.
Drizzle additional chocolate and caramel sauce over Cool Whip and
sprinkle with cookie crumbs. Freez=
e at
least 3 hours or until set.
With Lent here and meatless Fridays back, I thought you might enjoy this Mexican Tuna Salad they made that same day:
1-6 oz can chunk light tuna in water, drained and flak= ed
1-green bell pepper, minced
2-scallions, minced
¼ cup prepared green salsa
6- pimiento-stuffed olives, chopped
2-tablespoons reduced-fat mayonnaise
1-tablespoon lime juice
½ teaspoon ground cumin
Freshly ground pepper to taste
Combine tuna, bell pepper, scallions, salsa, olives, mayonnaise, lime juice and cumin in a medium bowl. Mix with a fork; season with pepper.
Makes 2 servings, about 1 cup each. Serve on bread for a sandwich or with crackers.
Cover and refrigerate for up to two days.
New Look to Our Website
Have you ever visited our web site at www.ccmanor.com? If so, you would hardly recognize it anymore. We are in the process of revising it. There are many, MANY pages to it (including most of the last t= wo year’s newsletters) but here are a few for those who aren’t computer “nerds= .” It’s truly a “work in progress” but for the moment, here’s our “new look:”<= /p>

Do you have something you would like to share with the rest of our
little community? Give anythin=
g you
like to Terese or email directly to Lee at LeeSail@aol.com. Examples might be prayers, poems, jokes,
cartoons, recipes, a personal story, someone you think should be honored, a
political viewpoint, etc.
Choosing your own neighbors is easy! Just give Terese the name and number of someone you think might be looking for a nice apartment. That’s all there is to it. Or you can give the office number (451-= 2633) to your friend (and ask your friend to mention your name in the conversation). When your friend jo= ins our little community, you will receive two $100 certificates of appreciatio= n to use towards your rent.
