Ken Knoll, who = likes to stay busy and was bored sitting at home while his beautiful wife was at wor= k, volunteered to help us out with a project. So Thank you Ken for donating your services and staining the wood in= the pool area. Ken started the job on = Monday and will probably be done in the next week or week in a half. Ken says many of the residents have tol= d him that it looks great and that is reward enough.
It was a job th= at has been put off for a long time and the stain is really soaking into the wood.=
In the meantime= , Mary is seen checking to see if the shade chosen is “just right” or not.
If anyone else = gets bored and would like to help out with some of the little jobs that need to be done from time to time, please see or call Terese. She may be able to “put you to work!”

Thanks to everyone's cooperation, we were able to get = the parking lot cleaned up in hopes the sun will help melt the 6" of ice we have left. Salting and sanding was= done but the 4 days of rain promptly iced over it. Please take care if you need to walk in the parking lot!
Many residents are planning their spring 'get-a-ways' = to a warmer climate. I hope you all enj= oy and return home safely. Just remember = the rest of us 'stuck' here and bring a little sunshine back with you.
On a personal note, the 'grandbaby' is due March 7th a= nd the pregnancy has gone very well. I ha= ve 'cleaned out' all the stores of every pink item I can find. I need to be done!!! My daughter's wedding plans are all on schedule and I don't have a choice. I MUST retain my composure to get through it all.
Until next month....

Notes from our “Social Director=
s”
Well February is here. First I would like to thank all of you who helped with the taking do= wn of Christmas decorations and putting up Valentines. It really was nice to have everyone wor= king together and it was fun too. Super= job ladies!!
We had a nice brunch and potluck for January.
The casino trip went well after we got there. The weather caused the bus to be 2 hour= s late so we had quite a wait and lots of time to visit.
Remember whether you are new to the CCM community or h= ave lived here awhile, everyone is welcome to join in the events that take place and we're sure if you participate you'll have a good time.
This month brings us:
Please watch for signs posted in the lobbies and throu= ghout the buildings. Don't forget "= Coffee & Donuts" every Saturday morning (except brunch days) from 9-11am = in the Club Room. If any of you ever = have any questions regarding the parties, trips, or functions here at CCM please call us at 651-451-6828. That's it= for this month. Take care.

A MESSAGE FROM MARY
Remember we don’t have coffee and donuts that day, jus= t the brunch. Thanks to Kevin and Kathy = for hosting the brunch and the coffee and donuts each week.
Unfortunately, we have had a couple of residents go to assisted living or a nursing home in the last month, so we are going to hav= e a 2BR and a 1BR coming up the end of March. Hence, if you know someone looking for a new home, please feel free to invite them to look at our little commu= nity and if they decide to rent and sign a year’s lease, you will get $200 cold cash as a token of our appreciation.
As you can see from my new picture, I went to Disney W= orld again with the grandsons and we had a great time visiting Donald Duck and Goofy. Because the boys have an Un= cle Donald (our youngest son) they both have a special closeness to Donald Duck. I always enjoy the time I ge= t to spend with the boys. I know they will grow up fast and it won’t be long and grandma will not be so special anymore.
Unit inspections went very well and thanks again for p= utting up with the inconvenience.
God Bless,
Mary=
